Whole regulation |
THE HAT WORKSHOP-MUSEUM in Chazelles-sur-Lyon (FRANCE) IS ORGANIZING AN INTERNATIONAL CONTEST 2005 - OPEN TO FRENCH AND FOREIGN DESIGNERS
The
selected subject is "CONTRAST". In its general meaning, it describes the combination of
materials, textures (mattness/lustre of fabric) or colours.
As most of the time we need excuses to put on hat, we give freedom to the designer for creating either a
town hat: dressy, handy, comfortable, different... or a celebration hat.
Requirements:
- The head size must be of 57 cm (22.5 inches)
diameter
(fitting of the jury members).
- In order to refer to Chazelles-sur-Lyon hat expertise history, the felt, must be included in the
design.
- Each designer will have to make sure that its creation is wearable (size, proportions' balance,
comfort,...) in the spirit of an "every day" or "event" product rather than an art creation. The main
guideline for the designer is: What would I like to wear or seen to be worn?
